At some point, we all have felt the frustration of standing in the mirror struggling with finicky lobster claw clasps in trying to find the right necklace that doesn’t sit too high or too low with our favorite top. Yesterday, the Couture Team had a blast shooting a series of Instagram stories showcasing how to pair the right necklace with various tops designed with different necklines. In case you missed it, here’s a quick recap!
Crew Neckline And Pendant Choker
For this look featuring a fun Chanel crop top, we chose to pair this Bvlgari velvet diamond encrusted pendant choker to accentuate the curvature of the top’s crew neckline.
Off the Shoulder Neckline And Layered Choker
To style this fun off the shoulder velvet top, we chose a three-rope choker by John Hardy, for its layered structure that perfectly compliments this bare horizontal neckline and for its interesting texture that aligns well with the velvet in the top.
Turtleneck Neckline And Deep Length Station Chain
Switching it up from the shorter length pieces, we paired this cutout shoulder turtleneck top with an Ippolita turquoise station necklace! To take advantage of the versatility that comes with such a high and covered neckline, we decided to piece it with a necklace that houses a rather deep and dramatic length.
Deep V Neckline and Mid-length Pendant Necklace
Our final look featured a simple sheer blouse with a V neckline and a diamond and pearl pendant necklace! When sporting a top with a lower cut, pairing a piece with a simple mid-length chain allows for the pendant to remain the focus of the ensemble without being understated by the deep neckline.
